Slawit Studio

The Slawit Studio was established in 2006 by local artist Jane Galvin who has a passion for floral art and is highly acclaimed for her more contemporary work.

Call in and see the wide range of original paintings and textiles by Jane and the work of her two guest artists.

There are photographs by Mick Corton, chronicling the changing face of the Colne Valley, in stunning black and white studies and a unique and interesting range of modern design ceramics, by Rebecca Heywood.

The studio is situated on the edge of a Pennine village close to the border with Lancashire, and is easily accessible from the M62. Slaithwaite has much to offer the visitor by way of canal, locks and antique shops.
There are several independent coffee shops which serve delicious coffee and if you like walking, there are many paths and walks which will take you all over the Colne Valley.
The Titanic Spa which is close has much to offer the sybarite or is somewhere to unwind after a hard trek across the moors. The Colne Valley has several award-winning restaurants which are all within easy reach of the studio.
Viewings can be arranged at other times, to suit. There is ample parking at the rear of the studio.
